Volunteer at the Glen Park Greenway January 25

Glen Park Greenway Volunteer Day
Saturday, January 25 | 9 a.m. to noon

Join the Crosstown Trail Coalition in caring for one of the many places we love to walk: the Glen Park Greenway (Section 2 of the Crosstown Trail). We’ll work with Friends of the Glen Park Greenway to maintain the California Native Meadow, where spring-blooming perennials were planted last month. Target weeds include the dreaded Bermuda buttercup, invasive Bermuda grass, and strangling bindweed.

We’ll dig and pull these weeds to ensure the new meadow plants thrive. After our hard work, we’ll enjoy snacks and refreshments together.

What to bring:
Bring gloves and small hand tools like trowels or Hori Hori if you have them. No worries if you don’t; the Greenway borrows tools to use from the San Francisco Department of Public Works.

How to sign up:
To sign up, email kathy.keller44[at]gmail.com. Kathy is the manager of the California Native Meadow and a member of the Greenway Executive Group.

As a project of the San Francisco Parks Alliance, the Greenway is required to collect signed Volunteer Agreements from all volunteers. Please sign this Volunteer Agreement and email to Kathy when you sign up or bring it with you to the event.

We can’t wait to see you there!
